Metodologie didattiche | Il corso è articolato in 72 ore di didattica frontale (9CFU). Con cadenza settimanale sono proposti online (sul sito del docente) degli homework che sono poi discussi in aula insieme con gli studenti per commentare e analizzare i risultati teorici esposti a lezione . |
Metodi di valutazione | La verifica e la valutazione del livello di conoscenza da parte dello studente avviene attraverso una prova scritta e una prova orale entrambe obbligatorie. |

Course Syllabus | - Linear Algebra. Basics of set theory. Binary operations. Geometric vectors. Groups and fields. Vector spaces. The five fundamental vector spaces: the space of the geometric vectors, the space of the numerical vectors, the space of the matrices on a field K, the space of the linear polynomials in n indeterminate and the space of the polynomials in an indeterminate and of degree at most n. Linear combinations and linear independence. Steinitz's theorem. Basis and dimension of a finitely generable vector space. Characterizations of the bases Theorem of extension of a basis. Subspaces. . Coordination of a finite dimensional vector space. Representation theorem of subspaces of the space of numerical vectors. Grassmann formula. Linear applications. Fundamental theorem (with proof). Core and Image of a linear application. Isomorphisms of vector spaces. Matrices. Determinant of a square matrix. Rank of a matrix. Invertible matrices. Existence of the inverse.
